[Air-L] copyediting question: capitalize www?

I hate to disagree with Bill, but I'm going to. I have stopped capitalising Internet, simply because just about everyone else (except for academic copy editors) has stopped doing it, a general shift which indicates the internet's mundane rather than Special or Unusual status.

I use World Wide Web on occasion but depending on audience, usually "the web", for similar reasons.

Cheers
Jean
