Tyler:

I have a lot of sources in my dissertation bibliography that would help you
(it's commons licensed so you can get it easily from ProQuest). Rough to
the Board: Creating Performance in American Recording Studios. You might
also really want to look at a couple of other really fabulous sources that
I used on my first YouTube paper (2007) - you can get a copy of that on my
Academia.edu page. I'm thinking specifically of Michael Warner's book *Publics
and Counterpublics* (as opposed to using Benjamin Anderson - I found this
really helpful); and Greg Urban's book *Metacultures*.
