As part of our pre conference day we are running a 'Getting Published' session, at 4.30 on Thursday 18 October, aimed at PhD students and early careers researchers.

It will be a small informal session to allow you to ask leading academics, editors and publishers about opportunities for publishing in the area of internet research and related areas, about the challenges of publishing and about specific venues for publishing such as journals and edited collections.

The session will be attended by;
Helen Kennedy, Institute of Communication Studies, University of Leeds
Steve Jones, editor of New Media and Society
Rich Ling, editor of Mobile Media and Communication
Margy Avery, MIT Press
Mila Steele, SAGE Press
Katherine Burton, Routledge

We have a few spaces left at this. If you would like to come to this please let me know by October 15.
If you have any questions that you would like our panel to think about in advance, please email me at f.attwood at mdx.ac.uk<mailto:f.attwood at mdx.ac.uk> and let me know.
Best, Feona
