Although this isn't necessarily an AoIR job, it'd be great to have some AoIR types apply:

Assistant Professor-Strategic Communication
Communication Department
Seattle University

The Department of Communication in the College of Arts and Sciences at Seattle University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Strategic Communications beginning Fall 2013. A young and rapidly growing undergraduate major, Strategic Communications at SU provides integrated, forward-looking professional education to prepare students for leadership roles in subfields such as public relations, advertising, marketing communications, public affairs communications, public information, and nonprofit advocacy.

In one or more of these subfields, applicants must have significant professional experience, successful teaching experience, and current research interests. The successful candidate will teach courses in Strategic Communications and at least one foundational course (e.g. "Mediated Foundations of Communication," CMJR 245) in the department; provide academic advising and mentoring for juniors and seniors in STCM; participate in departmental, college, university and community service; pursue scholarship in STCM or equivalent creative professional work; and help the Center for Strategic Communications in developing community-based strategic communication initiatives.

A PhD in Communication or a related field is required before fall 2013. Evidence of teaching excellence and potential in scholarship/creative professional work is required.
We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate the energy, creativity and entrepreneurial inclination that will help us continue to expand the Strategic Communications program and fully establish it as a preeminent program of its kind.

Seattle University, founded in 1891, is a Jesuit Catholic university located on 48 acres on Seattle's Capitol Hill.
