[Air-L] Position Announcement: Miami University Armstrong Professorship in Digital Learning

 Miami University – School of Education, Health & Society (EHS) and
Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies (AIMS) seek candidates
for the Armstrong Professorship in Digital Learning.  An ideal candidate
for this endowed, full time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant
Professor must be a highly effective educator; produce innovative and
fundable scholarship that simultaneously reflects and advances the vision,
mission, and national/international reputation of both EHS and AIMS;
perform service to the institution which could include development of:
 curricula,
internship programs, or digital learning programs.

 Required qualifications include:  earned doctorate in a field of study
represented in the School of Education, Health & Society (ABD applications
accepted with completion by the date of appointment); established interest
in interactive digital learning in educational contexts with expertise in
one or more of the following areas:  new media pedagogy and theory, mobile
learning, online content creation/critique, software application and tools
development, virtual environments, or gaming; be knowledgeable about and
responsive to the different ways technology has changed society; keen
interpersonal and communication skills; a documented record of
collaborative experiences.

 The AIMS Professorship is a critical linchpin in the EHS’s efforts to
build interdisciplinary synergy among various technology initiatives.
Desirable
candidates will be influential, inspirational, and collaborative, inviting
faculty and students to think and act differently as educators,
researchers, and citizens.  A successful candidate will be a leader within
EHS and an ambassador to other constituencies.

 Miami University (www.muohio.edu) is a state-assisted university located
