Faculty Vacancy – COMMUNICATION STUDIES 
 
The Department of Communication Studies at West Virginia University
invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of
Assistant Professor beginning August 2014. Candidates must have a
completed doctorate in Communication Studies or a closely related field
by August 15, 2014, an active social science research program with
promise for regular publication, and the ability to effectively teach
large lecture classes. Anticipated areas of teaching include: 
computer-mediated communication, new media, information technology,
social media, social networking, strategic communication, and other
areas consistent with departmental need and candidate interest.
Preference will be given to individuals with potential for external
research funding. Our Department offers degrees at the BA, MA, and PhD
level.
