Dear Colleagues,

As a list member for some time, I'm excited to announce a new film festival next April in Paris, sponsored by the International Social Science Council and the Society for Social Studies of Science.

The first annual Ethnografilm Festival (April 2014) will be held at Ciné 13 Théâtre in the Montmartre district. I'm writing to beg your assistance in distributing this information, but most especially in soliciting your films in either Academic or Documentary categories.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts, questions, or comments! I'd truly appreciate it.

We are delighted to announce and humbly invite your submissions to the first annual Ethnografilm Festival<http://ethnografilm.com>, 18-20 April 2014, in Paris, France, at Ciné 13 Théâtre, an historic site for film premieres in the 18th arrondissement.

Four years in the making, Ethnografilm will highlight the academic and documentary films that best contribute to the systematic understanding of our social world through film. Sponsored by the International Social Science Council and the Society for Social Studies of Science, this global initiative meets the growing need for non-fiction filmmakers to present peer-reviewed audiovisual work in an international forum.

Ethnografilm solicits submissions in four categories: academic, academic short, documentary, & documentary short (shorts defined as under 10 minutes). Academic films are generally those in which a scholar has a principal role such as editor, director, or producer. Please contact the festival manager<mailto:info at ethnografilm.com> if there are questions. Ethnografilm make no distinction by career stage, and particularly solicits films by students and youth.

We are honored to view all contributions.

 Ethnografilm…Profoundly Entertaining
