Assistant Professor, Digital and Social Media with an emphasis on
social justice or civic engagement

Fordham University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant
Professor position in its Department of Communication and Media
Studies, to start September 1, 2014, based at the Lincoln Center
campus in Manhattan. Applicants are sought in the area of digital
media with an emphasis on social justice or civic engagement. The
position requires a Ph.D. in communication, media studies, or a
related area (ABD acceptable if completed by Summer 2014); deep
knowledge of digital and new media, including social media, gaming,
mobile media and multimedia communication; ability to teach
theoretical and applied courses in digital design, social media and
multimedia production; a research track record with potential for
national impact; and evidence of excellence in teaching. Please see
