Hello,

Apologies for any cross-listing. Meridian
<http://ced.ncsu.edu/meridian/index.php/meridian> is an electronic journal
about K-16 educational technology based at North Carolina State University.
We post articles continuously, so our current call is for the whole year.
Thank you.

Call for Papers: Online Teacher Professional Development

Meridian <http://ced.ncsu.edu/meridian/index.php/meridian> is issuing a call
for submissions for publication
<http://ced.ncsu.edu/meridian/index.php/meridian> in 2014 that focus on
Online Teacher Professional Development (oTPD). This area of teacher
training has received some attention since the publication of *Online
Professional Development for Teachers: Emerging Models and Methods *(2006),
edited by Chris Dede, but almost ten years on, the research area is far
from saturated. Manuscripts may investigate participant experiences,
effect on participant learning, effect on student learning, program design,
cost effectiveness, and other related areas.

Apart from this special call, manuscripts that aid Meridian in its overall
goal of promoting knowledge of K-16 educational technology are welcome and
accepted.

*Meridian*

Meridian is an electronic journal dedicated to the research and practice of
information and communication technology in Kindergarten through college.
Meridian features research findings, practitioner articles, commentary, and
book excerpts. Educational researchers, technology designers, classroom
teachers, and authors who wish to share teaching and learning experiences
with computer technologies in K-16 classrooms are encouraged to submit. An
online journal has unique aspects that differ from more traditional
publication venues, so we strongly encourage authors to be creative in
using the Internet as an innovative publishing medium. Ideas include, but
are not limited to, video, audio, and interactive components. You can
contribute to Meridian in the following ways:

   - Original Research: Research-based article in the area of Information
and Communication Technology in K-16 education
   - In Practice: Practical classroom applications of technology, usually
written by or with classroom teachers
   - International Original Research: International articles based on
research in a country outside the United States (These articles are often
published in languages other than English.)
   - Others: Book reviews, multimedia articles, and other ideas (query us!)

Thank you!
