Dear AoIRists,

Registration for the 3rd International Symposium on Media Innovations
(ISMI) - April 24 and 25 - is now open:
<https://nettskjema.uio.no/answer/48233.html>
There is no registration fee, but as space will be limited, registration
for the event is required.

ISMI brings together editors, producers, executives, and academics from
around the world to explore innovation in the media industry. The
Symposium is a small, but very intense conference that serves as a
barometer for the state of media innovations.
This year¹s symposium features three keynote speakers:

Thor Gjermund Eriksen, Director General of NRK (the Norwegian Broadcasting
Corporation): "Conditions for Innovations in Public Broadcasting²

Bjørn Taale Sandberg, Senior Vice President, Telenor Research: "Who will
fund the media highway of the future?" -The (possible) need for new
business models to avoid a tragedy of the commons.

Steve Jones, Distinguished Professor, University of Illinois at Chicago:
³Living the Good Life: IT Innovations and Human Augmentics²

ISMI is sponsored this year by the Centre for Research on Media
Innovations, Department of Media and Communication, University of Oslo,
and Telenor Group. Best papers from this year¹s Symposium will be featured
in a special issue of the Journal of Media Innovations -
