No subject

of democratization was quite stagnant. Following the critiques of dynastic =
rule, embracing the notions of Enlightenment philosophers, from the time =
of the American and French Revolutions, there has been a long slow process =
whereby more and more countries are progressing to more democratic, =
representative governments that respect human rights. But in our global =
age, democratization has taken many forms. This session will explore =
different strategies: democratization vs. terrorism.
