I'm part of a EU-funded Network of Excellence--the EU's terminology, not
ours!--on violent online political extremism, called VOX-Pol.



I wanted to alert you to a nice opportunity to do some research in violent
online political extremism and/or responses to it at my institution, Dublin
City University, or one of eight VOX-Pol partner institutions: the ICSR at
King’s College London, the OII at the University of Oxford, University of
Amsterdam, Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO),

Central European University, Institute for Peace Research and Security
Policy (IFSH) at the

University of Hamburg, Indraprastha Institute of Information
Technology—Delhi (IIITD),

or University College London.



VOX-Pol's Research Fellowship Programme is a 12-month paid placement at a
VOX-Pol partner institution for scholars or those with requisite
professional experience.

Applications are welcome from colleagues in communication studies, computer
science, criminology, data science, gender studies, information science,
international relations, Internet studies, law, media studies, politics,
psychology, terrorism studies, etc.



It's a good way to become connected to the project and the growing research
community around violent online extremism and terrorism. It may
particularly suit recently graduated PhD students.



The deadline for receipt of applications is 28 May 2015.
