We invite you to submit papers to the 4th Chinese CHI Symposium (
http://chchi2016.icachi.org/calls). The symposium will be held on May 8 in
San Jose, CA, USA, as a one-day pre-conference event of CHI 2016.

Papers in all areas of human-computer interaction are invited and will be
assessed on their contribution to the field. Papers must present original
materials and will
be reviewed rigorously by expert reviewers. All accepted papers will be
included in the conference proceedings and published through the ACM
Digital Library. Authors are invited to submit high-quality original work
to advance the field.

Chinese CHI 2016 especially encourages submissions that contribute to HCI
research and design related to Chinese individuals and communities.
Examples include but are not limited to user research that provides a
deeper understanding of Chinese users or cultural differences, interaction
design and techniques based on behavioral characteristics or knowledge of
Chinese individuals, or simply regular HCI research with a more focused
discussion that reveals implications for Chinese HCI.

*Important Dates*

Submission Due Jan 6, 2016 PDT

Review Due Feb 6, 2016 PDT

Paper Notification Feb 15, 2016 PDT

*Submission Guidelines*

*Format*

Papers must be in the two-column ACM SIGCHI format. They must be anonymized
and in PDF file format. Length must match the contribution, and the same
general criteria hold for all papers.

Papers must be at least 4 pages, but can be up to 10 pages. Paper length
must be based on the weight of the contribution. A new idea presented in a
compact format is more likely to be accepted than the same idea in a long
format. Long papers need to include very strong contributions to warrant
acceptance. Shorter, more focused papers are also highly encouraged.

All work – both papers and optional video illustrations – must be submitted
electronically via the conference submission system (
https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=chinesechi2016)
<https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=chinesechi2015>

Chinese CHI 2016 will also have a separate poster submission category.
Formatting requirements for posters will be specified in the call for
posters that will be announced separately.

*Language*

Chinese CHI 2016 accepts papers in English only. Chinese CHI 2015 also
accepts poster submissions in Chinese and English as a separate submission

camera-ready copy that includes this information, along with any
recommended improvements as suggested by the reviewers.

All submitted materials for accepted submissions will be kept confidential
until the start of the conference.
