Since launching (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/2015/03/18/welcome-to-our-blog/) in March, this blog has surpassed our expectations, with guest contributors from around the world (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/around-the-world/) and posts from our team (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/about/our-team/) giving you wrap-ups of the latest news (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/on-our-minds/) , research (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/2015/10/21/childrens-internet-use-is-more-personal-mobile-and-even-fair-while-parents-pick-up-the-cost/) and advice about parenting, children and technology. In just eight short months we’ve grown to multiple thousands of readers each week, so this is our chance to say thank you for your support this year – for reading and contributing and tweeting and sharing – we are looking forward to more great posts and to sharing more from our current project, Parenting for a Digital

We have responded to recent controversies– including advertising to children on the new YouTube Kids app (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/2015/11/30/digital-deception-legal-questions-surround-new-youtube-kids-app/) and the appropriation of images of other peoples’ children by Baby Role Players. (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/2015/10/14/online-baby-role-playing-between-casual-fantasy-and-real-life-obsession/) Guest posters from Sweden (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/2015/09/25/support-children-by-supporting-parents-examples-from-sweden/) to the Sudan (http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/parenting4digitalfuture/2015/11/04/the-world-in-your-hands-smartphones-and-womens-connectivity-in-sudan/) have demonstrated how digital media are incorporated into the ecosystem of families – challenging traditional hierarchies, but sometimes reinforcing them, too.
