Dear colleagues,

Please, circulate.

The Association of Fulbrighters of Kyrgyzstan is looking for instructors in
3D Design and 3D Animation for a short-term position (January 2016) within
the project "*3D Creative Jobs for Kyrgyzstan"*. This ICT4Jobs project will
help to introduce a contemporary 3D Visualization and Animation education
program in selected arts departments and colleges of the Kyrgyz Republic
that can help match demand and supply of adequately skilled workers on the
labor market.

A specialist in 3D Visualization will be invited to Kyrgyzstan to share and
disseminate knowledge through the “training for trainers” model and online
consultations. Selected candidate can help through two main activities:
- Development of new digital 3D Visualization and Animation curriculum in
Kyrgyzstan,
- Training of 30-40 professionals in 3D Imaging to match growing demand
from creative industries.

*a) *Development of digital 3D Visualization and Animation curriculum in
Kyrgyzstan. The assistance in designing or updating courses in 3D imaging
will be provided for selected design and arts departments of local
universities and colleges. There are at least six schools that can be

National Academy of Arts, Kyrgyz State University of Construction,
Transportation, and Architecture, Kyrgyz State Technical University, Kyrgyz
State University, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
Leading instructors (up to 10 people) from those schools will be invited
for development of new curriculum. The list of participants can be drafted
in coordination with the assistance of the Association's partners in
academia and industry.
Possible formats are:
- Regular meetups: demonstration of best practices, followed by interactive
conversation on 3D possibilities and opportunities.
- Roundtables with academia and industry leaders to discuss skills needed
for creative economy.

*b)* Training efforts can help to engage local professionals (academia,
business, civil society) and students majoring in arts and design in
“training for trainers” workshops. The key goal of training is to prepare
future leaders of 3D technologies and scale up knowledge dissemination.
The selection of participants can be conducted through open call of
applications and involvement of students of arts departments in selected
universities. Up to 30 participants will be selected for training.
Training program is focused on such topics as: 3D Shapes and Geometry, 3D
Texture and Lighting, Digital Animation, Real Time Simulation and Rendering
of 3D Objects, Special Effects.

As the output of the training students should submit final projects for a
computer game: 3D Landscapes or 3D Characters or 3D Objects.

The results of training and works students can present during the 3D
Showcase Event in Bishkek.
