=== CALL for PARTICIPATION ===

HYPERTEXT 2016
27th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media
10-13 July 2016 - Halifax, Canada
Advance Registration: 17 June 2016
http://ht.acm.org/ht2016/

The ACM Hypertext conference is a premium venue for high quality
peer-reviewed research on hypertext theory, systems and applications. It is
concerned with all aspects of modern hypertext research including social
media, semantic web, dynamic and computed hypertext and hypermedia as well
as narrative systems and applications.

Hypertext 2016 will take place at the campus of Dalhousie University in
Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia and the major cultural centre of
Canada’s Atlantic provinces and is collocated with UMAP 2016, the 24th
Conference on User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization.

Apart from high-quality peer-reviewed papers, posters and demos, Hypertext
2016 features a creative track, a doctoral consortium and three workshops.
Evening events include - apart from the social dinner and poster/demo
reception, a theatre performance, a creative track exhibition, exciting
presentations at the Nova Scota College of Art and Design (NSCAD) and a
PowerPoint Karaoke.

Our keynote speakers are:
* Hossein Derakhshan (Hoder), an Iranian-Canadian blogger who was
imprisoned in Tehran from 2008 to 2014. On his release, he found the
internet stripped of its power to change the world and instead serving up a
stream of pointless social trivia.
* Katy Börner, an engineer, scholar, author, educator, and speaker
specializing in data analysis and visualization, particularly in the areas
of science and technology (S&T) studies. She will talk about Data
Visualization Literacy
