Dear AoIRists,

I'm pleased to call your attention to an impressive new resource in
internet research ethics - "Networked Systems Ethics," compiled by by Ben
Zevenbergen <http://www.oii.ox.ac.uk/people/?id=281> at the Oxford Internet
Institute <http://www.oii.ox.ac.uk/> as part of an Open Technology Fund

Ben graciously acknowledges the contributions of the AoIR ethics guidelines
as well as a good number of AoIRists.  But this work draws from several
other research communities whose foci turn on the internet one way or
another as well - most especially computing / networking technologies
professionals with strong ethical interests and expertise.  In these ways,
the document serves as both a fine primer and a significant new resource.

I strongly commend the document to anyone seeking practical and
well-informed guidance in how to approach many of the ethical challenges
presented by internet-facilitated research.  The document will also be a
very valuable resource for those of us who seek to continue reflection and
dialogue on these ethical issues in more theoretical directions as well.
