Hi all,

Please note that applications for the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) North West Consortium Doctoral Awards for entry in September 2017 are now open.

I am open to taking students on here at the University of Salford (Greater Manchester, UK) in the intersecting areas of digital media, gender and sexuality – particularly in the areas of personal and sexual relationships. Please do get in touch if you would like to talk about your ideas (note the residential eligibility criteria below). You can find out more about my work here: http://www.benlight.me

These awards can include, depending on status, a maintenance grant and payment of fees. Draft PhD proposals are due with the University 12 December 2016.

Full details about the studentships, application process, academic entry requirements and residential eligibility can be found here: http://www.nwcdtp.ac.uk/howtoapply/

Once you have a PhD proposal in place, you will need to apply for a PhD candidacy with the University of Salford by 20 January 2017 and submit your full application to the North West Consortium before 5pm on the 10 February 2017.

Also candidates that have settled status in the UK within the meaning of the Immigration Act 1971.
