Tenure System Assistant or Associate Professor in Human-Centered Technology
Department of Media and Information
Michigan State University

The Department of Media and Information (M&I) at Michigan State University
(MSU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank
of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the area of Human-Centered
Technology. We seek an emerging scholar and teacher with an innovative
research program that can complement our efforts to expand the boundaries
of our field. While we are open to candidates with a wide range of
backgrounds and interests, we are particularly interested in candidates
with a strong interest in human-computer interaction (HCI), including
social computing, crowdsourcing, collective intelligence, social media,
computer-supported collaborative work, interaction design, and the
multi-disciplinary study of the design, use and effects of information and
communication technologies (ICTs). Expected start date is August 16, 2017.
