 Call for Editors Assembled 2017

March 1st, 2017

We are looking for a prime *guest editor* (with potentially one co-editor)
to manage the process for 2017. There are 5 candidate papers (out of 16).
This is a great opportunity to influence the state of our field.

You will:

  - Coordinate the reviewers of these 5 papers.
  - Use our publication system -- extensively. (be versed also with Google
  docs, Skype, and other current tools.)
  - Be a deadline-targeted & taking-charge person.
  - Work as single editor or add one co-editor.
  - Able to write a short intro including your view / vision / insight on
  the field.
  - Get the academic credit as an editor.

The Department of Sociological Studies is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in
Digital Media and Society to contribute to teaching and research in this
area. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to the
Department’s portfolio by maintaining our high standards of teaching
through delivering modules in Digital Media and Society, leading the new BA
Digital Media and Society and contributing to the MA Digital Media and
Society.

You will have or be working towards a PhD in relevant discipline, have a
proven teaching ability with a growing record of quality research
publications Expertise in Digital Media and Society and experience of
teaching in the subject area, ideally at both undergraduate and
postgraduate level, is essential. You will be expected to represent the
Department in the wider University and promote and represent the University
and the discipline nationally and internationally.



The Department of Sociological Studies is committed to understanding
society and social change, and to research and teaching that improves
people's lives, especially those of the most vulnerable. We are proud to be
one of the top social science research departments in the UK, with a long
