CLaw: IEEE 3rd International Workshop on Legal and Technical Issues in
Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things
   http://www.claw-workshop.org

7 April 2017, Vancouver, Canada
in conjunction with IC2E 2016: IEEE International Conference on
Cloud Engineering

===========================================================

The CLaw workshop brings together specialists from law and computer
science to explore technical responses to legal problems, and to
interrogate legal frameworks for new and emerging directions in cloud
computing, the Internet of Things, analytics / machine learning and
'big data', and systems technologies in general.

This year’s programme features two highly topical keynote presentations
* Prof Colin Bennett, University of Victoria on the topic
"Transnational Flows of Personal Data: Adequate Laws, Accountable
Companies or Data Localization".
* Craig Shank, VP at Microsoft on the topic "Emerging Technologies –
Standards and Trust Mechanisms".

Research papers will be presented that span issues concerning
responsibility and liability in IoT ecosystems, citizen-led
environmental health engagement in smart cities, security assurances
in service level agreements for sensitive government data, and the
safeguards regarding the role of computer vision in the emerging
Internet of Things.

The workshop aims to provide a forum for discussion. There will be a
strong emphasis on generating new interdisciplinary research
directions regarding emerging technology.

We very much welcome your participation. For further details,
including registration instructions, please see
