Hello all, the newly founded Weizenbaum Institute in Berlin, Germany,
has a social science phd position on blockchain technologies on offer:
PhD student position on social aspects of blockchain technologies
The research group "Trust in Distributed Environments" at
WeizenbaumInstitute for the Networked Society in Berlin, Germany has an
openposition for a PhD student researcher with a focus on social and
governanceaspects of smart contracts and blockchain technologies.
The group will be interdisciplinary; the willingness to work with other
disciplines(computer science, law, economy) is therefore an essential
aspect for the position. The position also includes participating in the
activities of the research group and of WeizenbaumInstitute, including
scientific events, transfer activities (to politics,society, media).
The post is a 67% position in the German salary group TV-L
E13.Requirements include a successfully completed scientific study
programme(master level or equivalent) in the field of social sciences
with avery good degree. Applicants should be able to work with IT (esp.
and including office applications), have very good knowledge of English
and be able and willing to work in a dynamic and highly
interdisciplinary environment. Knowledge of German is welcome, but not
