ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – TENURE-TRACK

The School of International Service (SIS) at American University (AU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Social Networks. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and begin August 1, 2018. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or the highest equivalent degree in a relevant discipline by August 2018. Candidates should be scholar-teachers who bring together conceptual and empirical innovations in the investigation of social networks in global, cross-national, regional and/or comparative perspectives. Scholars who come from a wide range of disciplines are especially welcome to apply. SIS is particularly interested in scholars who utilize social network analysis and large-n research approaches and who focus on individual, organizational and/or inter-organizational levels of analysis. Substantive foci of interest include, but are by no means limited to, trans-border migration, economic and social development, policy emergence in global governance, transnational elite reproduction, forced displacement, or the spread and control of infectious diseases. Empirically grounded research on such issues will complement the work of SIS faculty research clusters and interdisciplinary AU 2030 initiatives. Please submit applications via: apply.interfolio.com/44379. See interfolio for details.
