[Air-L] Extended Deadline ICWSM 2018 Workshop: Bridging the Lab and the Field

Dear Colleagues, 
We have extended the deadline for abstract submissions to our ICWSM 2018 workshop “Bridging the Lab and the Field <https://sites.google.com/view/icwsmlabfield>”. Deadline for submissions is now April 20, 2018.

We’d love to have you join us to explore the methodological middle ground between the field and the lab in social media experiments. We'll discuss innovative techniques that bridge experimental and observational research, the tradeoffs between external and internal validity, and the challenges for designing and running these types of studies.

Extended abstracts are needed if you’d like to present or speak, but all ICWSM participants are welcome to attend. The workshop will be a space to brainstorm and collectively discuss these issues and topics, and we’d like to encourage you to contribute regardless of your specific research topic or application. 

If you would like to join the discussion at the workshop without submitting an abstract, that is great as well. Just let us know if you plan on registering and attending.
