[Air-L] Two journal publication opportunities associated with the XR & Immersive Learning Environments Special Track @ IEEE TALE 2018

Dear colleagues,

This is a reminder that the extended paper submission deadline for the Special Track on XR (VR, AR, MR) and Immersive Learning Environments (http://tale2018.org/xr <http://tale2018.org/xr>) at IEEE TALE 2018, which will take place this December in Wollongong, Australia (close to Sydney), is fast approaching. This Special Track is being organised in conjunction with the Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN at http://immersivelrn.org/ <http://immersivelrn.org/>).

We also wanted to take this opportunity to make you aware of two journal special issue publication opportunities associated with the Special Track:

Special Issue of the journal Virtual Reality (published by Springer; 2017 SCI Impact Factor 1.375) on "Innovations in XR and Immersive Technologies for Learning" 
Special Issue of the journal Interactive Learning Environments (published by Taylor & Francis, 2017 SSCI Impact Factor 1.604) on "XR and Immersive Learning Environments in STEM Education"

The timelines for both issues are as follows:

Conference paper submission deadline: 24 August 2018
Notification of review outcomes for conference papers: 19 September 2018
Final conference papers due for TALE 2018 proceedings: 1 October 2018
TALE 2018 early-bird and presenter registration deadline: 8 October 2018
TALE 2018 conference dates: 4-7 December 2018
Revised and expanded manuscripts for journal special issues due: 14 December 2018
Notification of review outcomes for journal special issues: 8 March 2019
Final manuscripts due for special issues: 31 May 2019 
Anticipated publication of journal special issues: Late 2019
