As described, the ethics workshop features presentations from prominent
researchers and ethicists who are at the forefront of developing online
research guidelines, including AoIR and AoIR ethics committee members
Elizabeth Buchanan, Jeremy Hunsinger, Michele White, Leslie Tkach Kawasaki,
and Klaus Bruhn Jensen. In addition, the workshop includes a presentation
by Keren Rice of the Social Science and Humanities Working Committee of the
(Canadian) Interagency Advisory Panel on Research Ethics.
The workshop focuses on real-world ethical issues encountered in Internet
research - and ways of addressing and resolving these. Workshop
participants are encouraged to contribute their particular issues and
experience to the multiple opportunities for shared discussion.
In addition to the overview on the conference web page, persons interested
in the workshop can find a more complete program, including abstracts for
individual presentations, at <www.itu.dk/~chess/AoIREthicsConference.html>.

All registration proceeds go to support the AoIR conference and
organization.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in attending this workshop -
and/or lists appropriate for this announcement - please forward it along.
And, of course, if you have any additional questions or comments, I'd be
happy to receive them at <chess at itu.dk>.

In the meantime, hope to see many of you there - and in any event, safe
travels to Toronto!
