[Air-L] Research on voice assistants and/or voice interaction tech?

Hi Brad, Stephanie, everyone

Brad, I would be interested in the report please. I'm not researching voice assistants, but am interested as background. I'm interested in voice technologies generally, and my PhD specifically looks at how adults with low levels of literacy are using voice tech and how we (we = literacy teachers, ESL teachers, those involved in supporting/teaching digital skills) can provide better support for low-literate adults' digital skills by using e.g. speech to text and text to speech. I'm mainly interested in how voice tech helps people interact with text, but the rise in 'voice only' or 'voice first' clearly has massive implications for my target population.

Hi all,

Stephanie, as early as this week we'll be releasing a mini-report on digital assistants. We added three questions to our big longitudinal U.S.
survey, and the results were interesting... so interesting that we may want to do a larger project. If anybody would like a copy of the report, then please let me know.

    All best,

    Brad
