RIP Benjamin J. Bates, Ben was a member of the early AoIR executive as
treasurer .  He was great colleague and solid friend of the
organization, embodying the spirit of mentorship, collegiality, and
goodwill that makes AoIR so awesome.  Ben will be missed.
