[Air-L] Searching for Mentor: Twitter API//Data Collection

Great to know we all share research interests in this area. Is it possible for some of the experienced researchers to share some entry/introductory resources/texts to get started on using social media?
My PhD is on using Twitter/trip advisor interactions between organizations, workers and customers. Any help would be much appreciated.
