For those of you interested in participating in this social media/computational tools & methods group for which interest is rapidly evolving:

Please email me your name, contact phone, your city and country location (so we can consider time zone as an important factor for virtual meetings but also perhaps to have a local wrangler in countries with multiple interested scholars) best email address, your role (e.g., PhD/Doctorate etc. regardless of your rank; graduate student (e.g., ABD/doctoral candidate, 2nd year Doctoral student, Master's student, etc.), your main field or discipline of study/research (e.g., journalism, sociology, marketing, information science, etc.), 5 key words that best describe your topics of interest, 3 of your favorite data collection/analysis/visualization tools you already use, 3-5 tools you would like to learn how to use in social media research.

I will put everyone on a new email list specifically for this group and then when I have things ready, I will email a website link to everyone on the list as well as emailing everyone on the AoIR listserv.
