| Position Summary | 
The School of Information (iSchool) is seeking multiple Adjunct Instructors with experience in Digital Storytelling, New Media, & Social Media (part-time, non-tenure eligible, non-benefits eligible) for the Fall 2019 semester, Spring 2020 term, and beyond. The iSchool is in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences serving roughly 1000 students across three undergraduate and three graduate degrees in Information.

We are seeking applicants who can provide quality undergraduate teaching for assigned course(s). The iSchool seeks individuals who are able to work with diverse students and have experience with a variety of teaching methods and modalities.

NOTE: The teaching schedule will be dependent upon class assignment; assignment may be classroom-based, virtual or some combination thereof, depending on need and instructor preference.

| Duties & Responsibilities | 
• Instruct undergraduate students in field of expertise. 
•Plan lectures and assignments. 
•Grade assigned papers and exams. 
• Assess grades for students based upon performance in class, assignments and exams.

| Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |  |
| Minimum Qualifications | 
•Master’s degree or higher in a related field 
•Demonstrated ability to provide service to and advocate for a diverse undergraduate and graduate student population, with particular experience with working with traditionally under-served communities.
 |
| Preferred Qualifications | 
• Doctoral degree or other terminal degree in a related field. 
•Experience teaching and demonstrated commitment to preparing students for a diverse, multicultural, and interconnected society.
•Ability to teach in learning environments that blend online and face-to-face learners into a single course.
