----------

Would you like to make a contribution to the quality of education in the north of The Netherlands and to the social task of universities of applied sciences? Are you the link between education and the professional field?

NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, for its Master Content & Media Strategy of the Creative Business & Communication Academy, is (starting date 1 november) looking for a

Lecturer Master Content & Media Strategy - Content Development
(lecturer/researcher B/C)
1,0 fte

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a passion for training and coaching our master students in their professional development to Content & Media Strategist. You have recent professional knowledge; you have research experience and you are aware of the latest developments and innovations in education.

Master Content & Media Strategy
During the Master, students work on content strategies that are approached from a media planning, content strategy and content marketing point of view. The programme is built around three themes that reflect the development cycle of content and media strategies: Content Strategy, Content Creation and Content Implementation.
Students work in small teams on real-life cases and show their individual Master level by developing a content and media strategy for an organisation of their own choice. Research and evaluation are important topics throughout the entire study.

Where Will You Work?
The Communication & Creative Business Academy, with about 90 colleagues and 1,350 students, wants to play a leading part within the University of Applied Sciences. With its broad portfolio, which for both studies contains the entire educational set-up (AD/BA/MA plus lectorate), and from a strong regional base, it wants to be considered a top tier institute on a national and international level.
The Academy consists of a relatively young and enthusiastic teaching/support team. The team is characterised by own initiative, commitment and dialogue. Successes are celebrated together with students. Together, we design the education for the branch, both national as well as international.

What Will You Be Doing?
The core of the position is to develop and execute education within the Master Content & Media Strategy and specifically within the educational module Content Creation. The objective of this module is to acquire knowledge about creating value for all stakeholders by means of meaningful content. This covers two elements: 1) understanding what meaningful content is; and 2) understanding the process in which meaningful content – as a part of a content and media strategy – is produced.

You are an expert in understanding what makes content meaningful and effective. You are able to support students in designing a coherent and sustainable strategy for creating, producing and managing meaningful content, which clearly defines the roles and responsibilities for the execution of this content within an organisation.

This module, topics are (inter alia): (branded) content and media analysis, persuasive communication, storytelling, strategic content planning, creative pitching and message architecture development.

  * You are familiar with performing practical research.
  * You have a relevant network and are able to bring about cooperation between the professional field and education.
  * You have good coaching skills, are collegial and value quality.
  * Your conceptual skills are strongly developed, and your attitude is solution oriented.
  * You are strong and confident and also flexible, investigative, inspiring and innovative.

  * You master Dutch and English, both orally as well as in writing.
  * You have obtained the Basis Didactic Skills Qualification (or are willing to do so).
