Dear fellow list-folk,

Can anyone recommend a Wordpress theme that provides a good
platform for an academic  journal? The journal is intended to showcase
student research and writing, and doesn't have to be complicated, nor
contain a lot of fancy visuals. Instead it just needs to have basic
categories such as current issues, past issues, submission guidelines,
etc., and vertical and/or some horizontal navigation.

I find so many wp themes these days are all about visuals and marketing
and are pretty horrible to navigate. One of the few that seems to have
some potential is this, [2]https://www.wpzoom.com/themes/academica-pro/
but even that is probably overkill.

I'd prefer to use Wordpress if possible (rather than something like OJS)
since
some grad students may help with it and they are likely to have some
familiarity
with Wordpress. But I'm not wedded to Wordpress if there is something
else out there that is fairly simple and that you'd recommend.
