I am just reading Tom Wheeler's From Gutenberg to Google
<https://books.google.com/books/about/From_Gutenberg_to_Google.html?id=rd57F8IjyF0C&printsec=frontcover&source=kp_read_button#v=onepage&q&f=false>.
While a history of networks and their impact, rather than computing, it
does cover many aspects, and is extremely well written.

Might work as "more reading".
