Please join us Thursday, March 28 at The New School to celebrate the
release of Our Data Bodies’ /Digital Defense Playbook: Community Power
Tools for Reclaiming Data/ <https://www.odbproject.org/tools/>.

What unique challenges do members of marginalized communities face when
dealing with data-driven systems? What strategies and solutions
safeguard them against pervasive forms of surveillance?

Based in Charlotte’s, Detroit’s, and Los Angeles’ most marginalized
urban neighborhoods, Our Data Bodies (ODB) has been in the field since
2015, consulting with community members about their experiences with
data collection and data-driven systems. Its newly released Playbook:
speaks to the future of data justice.

To celebrate ODB and this work, this public panel hosted by the Digital
Equity Laboratory
