Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant
Professor in Digital Policy within the School of Information and
Communication Studies <https://www.ucd.ie/ics/> at University College Dublin

University College Dublin seeks to recruit a Lecturer/Assistant Professor
in the interdisciplinary field of Digital Policy. The post is temporary and
the successful candidate will be appointed on a five-year basis.

Candidates with interest and experience in research and education in the
interdisciplinary field of Digital Policy are welcomed from across any of
the main disciplines which bear on the field. The successful candidate will
be appointed to UCD School of Information and Communication Studies with an
expectation of linkages to other schools in the University as appropriate
to the disciplinary background, experience and research programme of the
appointee.

Current areas of research in College of Social Sciences and Law and the
wider university related to digital policy include: transparency in
electoral processes, trust and expertise, data privacy, hate speech,
democratisation and constitutionalisation of online practices, data
practices, digital and data journalism, digital media studies, blockchain,
cyber-security, information literacy, algorithmic accountability,
information and data ethics.
