Clemson University seeks a research scientist or project manager for a
short-term (six month) position with Prof. Kelly Caine (www.kellycaine.org

The position does NOT require relocation to Clemson as it is fully remote.



The successful candidate will support an interdisciplinary team of
researchers from Clemson (www.hatlab.org

investigating human-centered computing and HCI. The ideal applicant will
either be an experienced scientific project manager or possess an advanced
degree in Human-Centered Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, Engineering
Psychology, Human Factors, Computer Science or a related field.



*Activities*:

- manage existing scientific projects
- guide and take notes during research meetings
- serve as primary point of contact with PI
- assist and support graduate and undergraduate students
- (depending on qualifications and interests) manage IRB protocols, data
collection, data analysis, writing up results for publication, preparing
presentations, and managing submissions for publications that are currently
under review. The research scientist / project manager will receive
co-authorship credit where appropriate.



*Qualifications*:

- Excellent interpersonal communication, management, and collaboration
skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience and/or desire to work on a multi-disciplinary team
- advanced degree in HCC, HCI, Human Factors, Industrial Design, Computer
Science, or a related field OR experience as a project manager



*When does the position start?*

January, 2021. The position is for six months, from January to June, 2021.



*How much does the position pay?*

The equivalent annual salary is $60,000 and includes generous benefits
(e.g., health, dental).
