The CSST Summer Research Institute supports emerging scholars in sociotechnical systems research. This much loved "summer camp" has been an activity of the Consortium for the Science of Sociotechnical Systems Research (CSST) since 2008. We welcome post-proposal doctoral students, post docs, new assistant professors and others at similar stages of career.

Now accepting applications: https://sociotech.net/csst2020/
Deadline is March 20.

Research areas include (but are not limited to) personal health and well-being; open innovation, eScience, and citizen science; co-production, open source, and new forms of work; cultural heritage and information access; energy management and climate change; civic hacking, engagement and government; disaster response; cybersecurity, surveillance and privacy; education and learning. Follow the link for more information.

At least twelve senior mentors will be available to work with campers, representing a breadth and depth of sociotechnical research and career paths.

The 2020 Summer Institute is being co-organized by James Howison (UT Austin) and Jaime Snyder (University of Washington).
