Hi Stephen (and others!),

I’m not sure what sort of methods you are looking for (i.e., what the purpose of those methods would need to be), but you may find our recent paper interesting. 
In it, we discuss how we developed a new, reliable way of assessing social media (and smartphone) use (as well as its qualitative aspects).
