Tune in for 'Futures Implied: How Media Architecture shapes our cities'
This Thursday, Oct 1st | 18:30 – 19:30 CET at Pakhuis de Zwijger (https://facebook.us20.list-manage.com/track/click?u=98b784859935f80b0b03b5324&id=6ca719eb87&e=e0fc435bb0)
*This Friday we will share the full video on our website & social media platforms, in case you are not able to watch it live.

What future visions are implied in today’s urban technologies?
>From media facades and urban screens, to digital platforms and smart city technologies - media architecture has increasingly shaped or cities during the past two decades. None of these technologies, however, are neutral enablers, mere decorative structures, or just simple market places. It is time therefore for the discipline of media architecture to address the implied futures of new technologies. Join us in this conversation and, together, let's explore what future visions are implied in today’s urban technologies.

INTERACTIVE PUBLIC ARTWORK | Architect & artist Anaisa Franco (https://facebook.us20.list-manage.com/track/click?u=98b784859935f80b0b03b5324&id=a2ad5058cd&e=e0fc435bb0) has shared with us one of her latest creations: Wave of Rainbow, an interactive public artwork that creates a colorful wave while people walk along with it. The concept of the proposed project is about adding fantasy in one’s journey while visiting the park and making it a fanciful experience. To accomplish that the artwork uses technology to evoke, in a cheerful and metaphoric way, feelings of acceptance, belonging and self-stem. Franco is based in Barcelona, and for the past few years, has created a prolific portfolio of new media artworks. Most of her works were developed via grants, prizes, and commissions, and have been exhibited in public spaces, museums and galleries worldwide.

Wave of Rainbow was commissioned by Annecy Paysages 2020. (https://facebook.us20.list-manage.com/track/click?u=98b784859935f80b0b03b5324&id=769e96f3ef&e=e0fc435bb0)
