Hi all,

Regarding the request for AI literature: Emerging literature in Human-Machine Communication also would be relevant here, including work by Kate Crawford, the AI Now Institute, Gina Neff and Peter Nagy, Meredith Broussard, Kate Mays and James Katz, Patric Spence, and myself, to name a few. Relevant journals include the Human-Machine Communication journal, https://stars.library.ucf.edu/hmc/, Computers in Human Behavior, particularly the special issue (vol 90) https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/computers-in-human-behavior/vol/90/suppl/C, and Communication Studies, Special Issue on AI https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/10510974.2020.1788909. It is also worth noting that people often conflate AI and robotics, so some of the literature regarding people’s conceptions of robots also may be relevant. Good luck!
