Summary of the position:

ETNO, Europe’s leading telecom association, is looking for a 6 months paid
intern. The candidate is a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who
proactively supports the delivery of ETNO's policy and regulatory
activities and supports ETNO colleagues in internal and external public
affairs-related tasks. The new recruit will: (1) assist ETNO’s working
groups’ activity, (2) support on the development and consolidation of
position papers and other relevant material, (3) contribute to the timely
and thorough monitoring of all the relevant debates, events and gather
relevant information that feeds into the Association’s policy work, (4)
support outreach to EU institutions and other external stakeholders. READ

Main tasks include:

Working Groups (WGs): assist in the preparation of ETNO WG meetings, take
minutes of the working group meetings and help ensure the proactive and
efficient participation of members in the meetings;
Supporting ETNO’s policy & regulatory colleagues: carry-out all WG-related
activities in close collaboration with the policy & regulatory affairs
team, support colleagues in developing and consolidating position papers
and other ETNO documents;
Content & monitoring: gather relevant material that feeds into the
Association’s policy work, monitor all the relevant information sources,
prepare reports on stakeholder/institutional events, and support in
disseminating relevant information for the Members;
Outreach support: map relevant stakeholders and support on an active
outreach to the EU institutions.
Profile:

Necessary skills: You have a clear understanding of the functions of the EU
Institutions, have an interest in technology policy. Previous experience:
Completion of an internship within an Association and/or an EU institution
would be an asset, as would previous experience in the field of ICT and/or
related studies in a leading European university. Understanding of
sustainability and environmental policies would be an additional strength;
Languages: Full English proficiency in speaking and writing is a must; very
good knowledge of other EU languages an asset;
Mindset: Excited to work in a member-driven association which works on a
consensus-building basis. Good at multi-tasking, detail orientated,
committed, willing to learn, comfortable in a multi-cultural and
fast-moving trade association environment. Thrives in a team environment
but also able to work independently. Pro-active and forward-looking
attitude and outside-the-box thinking will also be well considered.
