Next Century Cities (NCC) invites your individual papers, joint
publications, and paper sessions for the Academic Preconference on July
20th, 2021.

Next Century Cities will host a virtual conference, themed “Broadband is
the Electricity of the 21st Century. Let’s Light Up Every Community.”

For our inaugural academic convening, we invite innovative paper and panel
submissions that examine questions related to broadband deployment,
improving access, eliminating barriers to adoption, and supporting digital
inclusion.
 • What does ubiquitous broadband entail and how can we achieve this goal?
 • How should broadband advocates at the local, state, and national levels
work to address the digital divide in the post-COVID era?
• What could ubiquitous broadband enable?

This academic conference will provide the opportunity for new thought
leaders to showcase their work and share ideas that could revolutionize the
way we approach improving broadband programs and closing the digital
divide.

Questions and submissions should be addressed to Brittany-Rae Gregory,
NCC’s Communications Director, and submitted via email to
info at nextcenturycities.org.

The priority deadline for submissions is Monday, July 12, 2021.
