Hi all, writing to share an article of possible interest in the Conversation (a news/media organization for researchers to share about their research).

The article is on how schools' posts on Facebook could threaten students' privacy. In our research, we found there are around nine million photos of students that are strictly publicly accessible through the pages of schools. We estimated that half a million of the photos identify students by first and last name and location. These photos could (unhappily) represent the largest collection of identifiable photos of students in the U.S.
