Data & Society is seeking applicants for our 2022-2023 faculty fellows
program. This fellowship is for scholars of any discipline who are engaged
in research at the intersection of technology and society. It’s a 10-month
position beginning in September of 2022 that comes with a stipend,
programmatic support, and the chance to be a part of the rich intellectual
community at Data & Society.

As we build the 2022-2023 class, we’re continuing to embrace breadth and
diversity in our selection process. Data & Society is seeking two Faculty
Fellows whose research projects specifically focus on issues of Race,
Technology, and the State. Continuing Data & Society’s history of work on
fairness, equity, and civil rights, these faculty fellows will bring a
justice-oriented perspective and intersectional approach to their
interrogations of race and data. This year we are particularly interested
in projects that examine data-intensive systems of the State and how they
intersect with processes of racialization.

Broadly, the research projects of our Faculty Fellows will advance our
mission and complement our work
