SPEAKERS

Prof Gary Rawnsley is Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Professor of Public Diplomacy at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. He has published extensively on propaganda, public and cultural diplomacy, soft power, and the media in democratising political systems.
Dr Zhang Chang is a post-doctoral faculty fellow of Communication University of China. She has recently graduated from University of Warwick. Her research focuses on public diplomacy and International Communication – especially the comparative study between China’s and Russia’s International broadcasting.
Haiqing Yu is a professor of Media and Communication and an ARC Future Fellow at RMIT University, Australia Her current projects examine the social implications of China’s social credit system, technological innovation, and digital transformation; China’s digital presence in Australasia; and Chinese-language digital/social media in Australia.
Elaine Jing Zhao is an Assoc-Prof  in the School of the Arts and Media, and Co-Director of Media Futures Hub, University of New South Wales. Elaine’s research focuses on cultural production, creative labour, communication and media policy, informal media economy, and media globalisation.
Hugh Davies is a research fellow at RMIT in Melbourne. He studies games and digital culture in the Asia Pacific Region. Hugh sits on the board of the Chinese Digital Games and Research Association.
