I always say that AfPIF is the single best event that ISOC is involved in.
Interconnection is what makes the Internet the Internet, and a society a
society!

It's back to an in person event after the pandemic, during which time
Africa has seen strides in connectivity.

Also, in a first for ISOC.LIVE, we have human captions in both English and
French! Raw transcripts will be posted to the archive at end of day.

Je dis toujours que l'AfPIF est le meilleur événement auquel l'ISOC
participe. L'interconnexion est ce qui fait d'Internet l'Internet et d'une
société une société !

C'est le retour à un événement en personne après la pandémie, au cours
duquel l'Afrique a connu des progrès en matière de connectivité.

De plus, dans une première pour ISOC.LIVE, nous avons des sous-titres
humains en anglais et en français ! Les transcriptions brutes seront
publiées dans les archives à la fin de la journée.

23-25 2022* the *African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) 2022
<https://www.afpif.org/afpif2022/>* will convene in Kigali, Rwanda. An open
and inclusive forum, AfPIF focuses on developing Internet interconnection
and traffic exchange opportunities by bringing together key players –
infrastructure providers, Internet service providers (ISPs), Internet
Exchange Points (IXPs), content producers and providers, data center
operators, policy-makers and regulators, to advance the peering ecosystem
in Africa.

AfPIF aims to promote the development of national and cross border
interconnection and offers the African technical community a unique
opportunity to showcase interconnection challenges and opportunities.

This year’s forum marks a return to in-person sessions since its
postponement in 2020 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Du *mardi au jeudi 23 au 25 août 2022*, Le *Forum africain sur le peering
et l’interconnexion (AfPIF) 2022 <https://www.afpif.org/fr/afpif-2022/>* se
déroulera à Kigali, au Rwanda. Forum ouvert et inclusif, l'AfPIF se
concentre sur le développement d'opportunités d'interconnexion et d'échange
de trafic Internet en réunissant des acteurs clés - fournisseurs
d'infrastructures, fournisseurs de services Internet (FAI), points
d'échange Internet (IXP), producteurs et fournisseurs de contenu,
opérateurs de centres de données, politiques-makers et régulateurs, pour
faire progresser l'écosystème de peering en Afrique.

AfPIF vise à promouvoir le développement de l'interconnexion nationale et
transfrontalière et offre à la communauté technique africaine une occasion
unique de présenter les défis et les opportunités de l'interconnexion.

Le forum de cette année marque un retour aux sessions en personne depuis
son report en 2020 en raison de la pandémie mondiale de COVID-19.
