[Air-L] Demonstrating Bigger Trend of "Virtual Communities of Practise" through Internet Research

Hi there
Definition: Virtual Communities of Practice: An online group dedicated to a profession or craft and not just a product. https://www.commsor.com/post/understanding-communities-of-practice
Goal of the project: Demonstrate that this is a major growing trend, especially within companies.
Context: those communities are just thought of as "not product" communities and companies are not aware of How major a trend this is. Also, non-academic people refer to communities of practice in very different terms.
My question: how would you go about demonstrating such a trend ?
