Hi all,

In 2021 we (Zahra Stardust, Emily van der Nagel, Jiz Lee, Em Coombes, Mireille Miller-Young and I) put together and ran session on "Alternative Frameworks for Sexual Content Moderation" at RightsCon, several of you took part in it. After that we have been working on a Manifesto for Sex Positive Social Media (i.e. a social media that better understands sexual content, communication, expression and representation, a social media that is not exploitative yet punitive towards those for whom sex is an active (and public) part of their social and cultural life). After having consulted with many advocacy and activist organizations, reviewed and revised, we can finally share it.

It consists of seven calls for action and is available here https://sexpositivesocialmedia.org/ <https://sexpositivesocialmedia.org/>, you can read it online or download it as a pdf.
There is also an accompanying petition we invite you to sign if you feel, like us, that this is important https://sexpositivesocialmedia.org/signatories <https://sexpositivesocialmedia.org/signatories>

Please feel free to share with any of your networks for whom this might be relevant, we also thin this might be useful in teaching. The art is by Jacq Moon.

best,
