Digital sovereignty has become a leitmotif in European Union, but it still remains a puzzle from both a policy and scholarly perspective. In this talk Rocco Bellanova will present his recent work (with Helena Carrapico and Denis Duez) which aims at unpacking the discourses and practices that shape digital sovereignty in the domain of security. In conversation with Critical Data Studies and Science and Technology Studies, he will emphasize the importance to study how digital infrastructures become crucial to claim and perform sovereignty.
